AJ Fosik creates Bizarre Beasties

AJ Fosik was raised in Michigan, USA. He creates what he calls 3-dimensional wood constructions, preferring not to term his art as sculptural. Each piece is brightly colored with crisp lines and eye-catching geometric shapes. Fosik creates characterful monsters in a style that seems to combine tribal and abstract art. The subject matter appears surrealist but is executed in a manner that hints at cubism. As a modern artist, Fosik seems to have been influenced by modern art history, taking elements from several 20th century art movements to create a style that is entirely his own. In an interview with fecalface.com Fosik says that his art is an expression of the questions he is asking about the random, chaotic and arbitrary nature of existence.
