Qing Han, aka Qinni, is an artist from Canada who works in both traditional and digital art mediums. When creating a painting with traditional methods, he leans towards watercolor paint, creating emotive manga scenes with an artistic flair. When working in a digital art format, Qing likes to work in Painttool SAI, Corel Painter and Photoshop CS4. He also creates animations and brings the same vivid sense of life and energy found in his paintings to his animations.

Qing Han creates a lively animation of a girl bringing painted fish to life. You can watch the whole short film here.
Qinni creates a lot of his own original scenes that are borne from his imagination, but he also likes to celebrate his favorite media characters by creating fan art. Some of his art has distinct manga and anime influences that add to the sensual nature of his paintings and animations. You can see some of his fan art works in his Deviant Art gallery. If you’re an artist or illustrator, you might want to check out his series of tutorials.
