Eric Fan’s Illustrations give Life to a Surrealist, Steampunk Society

Eric Fan is an artist and illustrator from Toronto, Canada, who specializes in apparel design. His illustrations have found a place on cell phone covers, t-shirts and tote bags through websites such as Society6 and Threadless. Eric Fan’s art work combines steampunk and fantasy imagery with antiquated illustration styles, resulting in illustrations that combine modern ideas with vintage ideals.

The artist’s sense of humor and passion for whimsical ideas is apparent in his excellent surrealist drawings. Often the artist combines elements from the natural world with aspects of the human world, personifying animals and insects by placing these creatures in human situations. In other art works, nature and humanity are portrayed in bizarrely humorous and yet believable ways. Each piece of art by Eric Fan is thought-provoking in its symbolism and subject matter, which makes an Eric Fan accessory a perfect choice for intellectual art lovers.
