Twist your Mind with Ryohei Hase’s Japanese Surrealism Paintings

Ryohei Hase is a Japanese illustrator and artist who creates surrealist art with a dark appeal. Twisted images of animals, abstract forms and human beings spring from Hase’s mind onto canvas, paper or a computer screen in a barrage of artworks that leave the world gasping for more. Some of his art borders on disturbing while other pieces encourage viewers to take an inspiring journey with the artist into the surrealist realm of of his imagination.

Hase’s paintings exhibit the turmoil of the human condition with scenes of violence, angst and heart rending struggles with the self. Truly, Hase’s art is worthy of introspective inspection. This is the kind of art that makes a person question not only what the artist was expressing, but to question their own emotional responses to what they are seeing.
