This inspiring story begins with younger brother Cayden being diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a condition that makes walking and communicating difficult. Although many people would have despaired in the face of the condition, older brother Cayden chose instead evolve both his thinking and his relationship with his sibling by including Cayden in his sporting activities. The two brothers now participate in triathlons together, and although they invariably finish last, they finish the race together, grinning and waving to supportive crowds.<\/p>\n
In 2012, Sports Illustrated magazine awarded the brothers with the Sportskids of the Year award in a ceremony that moved not only the audience at the prize giving, but has since inspired thousands of people around the world via newscasts and online videos. Conner says his hope is to inspire people who didn’t care in the past to care in the future; quietly leading his own beautiful revolution against society’s apathy towards people with conditions like Cayden’s.<\/p>\n
