All-American Parody of Psy’s “Gangnam Style”

Jervy Hou is a Californian singer, songwriter and music producer who creates parody songs of popular music such as the Youtube viral video “Gangnam Style”. (Watch the original music video by Psy here) He’s rewritten the lyrics and given the song an all-American Midwest style. The characters in the video are dressed in cowboy gear (and bikinis), and the lyrics center around a cowboy gunman theme. To give this song an authentic Midwestern feel, he’s used a violin to carry the musical theme throughout the song. Jervy Hou’s parodies are high quality and jam-packed with sexy humor. He says, “Unlike many other musicians/producers, I could give a crap about what people think about me or my music.”
