James Christensen was born in 1942 and raised in Culver City, California. He was classically trained in art techniques at UCLA and Brigham Young University. After graduating from art school, Christensen went on to teach art for two decades. Over the years he has produced many fine art paintings in oil paint, a medium that allows the artist to paint interesting textures into his work.
