Scrat is one of the characters from the\u00a0Ice Age<\/em> series of films from Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox. The Scrat character is a scrawny squirrel with bulging eyes and a long nose. His adventures were first created as a sub-plot to the Ice Age\u00a0<\/em>films, providing an amusing sideline for the story. Scrat’s comedies have a hint of tragedy to them – no matter how hard he tries, Scrat simply can’t bury his beloved acorn. In the process of trying to bury the acorn, Scrat is struck by lightning, caught in a glacier, frozen into an ice cube and sent to the middle of the Earth. The “saber-toothed squirrel” is voice by Chris Wedge.<\/p>\n
