Mo5aic (aka Mosaic, Mosaic Five and Mosaic 5) is a five-man vocal band from the United States. The band uses only their mouths and vocal chords as instruments, mimicking the sounds of other instruments, if not perfectly, at least very creatively. This video shows the band covering Queen’s epic song Bohemian Rhapsody. The song is complex, weaving beats and vocal elements to create a sound picture to rival fine art paintings from master artists. The song was written in 1975 by Freddy Mercury, for the Queen album A Night as the Opera. Wikipedia’s entry on Bohemian Rhapsody says that “the song has no chorus, instead consisting of four main parts: a ballad segment ending with a guitar solo, an operatic passage, and a hard rock section. At the time, it was the most expensive single ever made and remains one of the most elaborate recordings in popular music history.” Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the best songs of the 20th century and is still popular all over the world.

The band Mo5aic consists of Joshua Huslig as bass and baritone, Heath Burgett as tenor, Corwyn Hodge as tenor, Roopak Ahuja as baritone and tenor and Jake Moulton as the beatbox, performing vocal percussion and bass. Jake Moulton has been featured before on Mayhem and Muse in Electric Violin and Beatbox: Moonlight Grenade in which he provides beatbox rhythms to accompany electric violinist Jason Yang.
