Tattoo Video: Watch an Owl Fly Out of this Guy’s Chest

Ukrainian tattoo artist Dmitriy Samohin is an enormously talented tattooer who has made a name for himself with his realistic tattoos. He tattoos life-like portraits of people and animals in an artistic way; creating body art that is a beautiful blend of photo realism and artistic styling. There are few tattooers out there who can match Samohin’s level of skill when it comes to creating tattoos that are both realistic and artful.

This video, set to a delightfully cheesy power ballade from the 90s, shows Dmitriy Samohin’s tattoo process as he covers his client’s chest with a large design of a flying owl. He’s kept his color palette fairly minimal, using mainly warm browns and gentle greys, but somehow still manages to make the tattoo seem incredibly lifelike.

In tattoo art, owls are a symbol of wisdom and the ability to communicate with other worlds such as the world of the dead. They have also been used in art for centuries as symbols of magic, mysticism and foresight. You can see more tattoos by Samohin on Mayhem and Muse’s sister site, rattatattoo.com in Amazing Photorealistic Tattoos by Dmitriy Samohin or learn more about the inspirational meaning of owl tattoos in Tattoos of Owls Give Wisdom to Body Art

The artist has chosen to use colors that mimic the owl’s natural feathers. The result is a tattoo that has an organic, nature-loving style.

Have a Giggle with Japanese Comedians “Gamarjobat”

Gamarjobat is a comedy duo from Japan who specialize in visual comedy and simple optical illusions. As Jason Mansford (the host of Comedy Rocks) says, their humor is based on “dad jokes”, the kind of got-your-nose silliness that fathers perform to entertain their children. Unlike dads everywhere, however, Gamarjobat has managed to put together a […]
