Bill Carman is an American artist who was apparently born with a banana shaped head. Whether or not this fact added to his artistic talents remains to be seen, but regardless, he’s one talented guy. He’s worked in publishing houses, at Ford Aerospace and he’s even spent time at LucasArts Entertainment.
Carman’s illustrations are unlike those that you’d find in ordinary fairy tales. His scenes have a much darker element to them, and he appears to have hundreds of different monsters, critters and twisted characters in his mind just begging to find a new life on his canvas. This artist does like to change an image as he works on it though, and so often his creatures evolve in the painting process to ultimately look quite different from their initial designs.
