Jono Dry is an exceptionally talented artist from Cape Town, South Africa who specialises in hyperrealistic pencil drawings. Using graphite and sometimes charcoal, Jono creates impressively large art works that speak directly to the soul. He has become one of the top artists in his sphere, with a global following of loyal fans that he engages with via his Patreon where he offers art lessons and critiques for aspiring pencil artists.

Emerging from solid graphite backgrounds; Jono’s figures seem to be suspended in a liminal space – a plane of pure imagination that exists just outside of reality – somewhere between the artist’s mind and his soul. There is a sense of esoteria and magic in Jono’s works; real life models are transformed into elemental deities and simple objects such as flowers, candies and toys become divine and sacred through their relationships with these Gods and Goddesses.

Jono’s YouTube channel has several hundred beautiful, inspirational and informative videos for you to peruse. If you want to start a career with your own art, or if you want to improve your own artistic skills, he has many videos on these subjects, along with stunning time-lapse videos of his own artistic process.

More inspirational art works by Jono Dry can be viewed on his Instagram and Facebook, and high quality giclée prints of his drawings can be purchased through his website.
