Fall in Love with Chris Ryniak’s Adorable Monster Dolls

According to Ryniak’s bio on his website, he was “born as a baby in 1976 in the suburbs of Detroit. He spent his childhood basking in the warm glow of Saturday morning cartoons and flipping over rocks in search of insects, reptiles and ghosts.” This idyllic childhood spawned a curious form of artistic talent, which Chris Ryniak expresses with drawings, paintings and sculptures of cute and creepy critters.

Ryniak’s monster dolls could easily find a place in a 3D animation film by a company like Pixar, or even in a stop-frame animation by the master director Tim Burton. Because while the little critters have a touch of horror about them, they are still completely adorable. So lovable, in fact, that Ryniak’s art dolls regularly fetch between $50 and $100 on Ebay. If you’re interested in buying art prints, monster action figures and postcards from Chris Ryniak, you can catch up with him on his website, blog or through Circus Posterus and Facebook.

Have you got a Dirty Mind?
