Dubstep Beatboxer creates Electronic Music with his Mouth

Dave Crowe is a beatboxing musician who brings a unique flavor to the art. Like all beat boxers, Crowe uses only his body as an instrument, shaping his mouth to create different sounds. Occasionally Crowe will build an instrument out of both his mouth and hand to change the sound of air being expelled from his lungs, creating an altered sound effect that can be used to add more depth to a beat boxing track. Crowe brings an unusual edge to the art beatboxing, mimicking sounds that were originally created by electronic music instruments.

In this video, Dave Crowe performs on his favorite stage; the street, interacting with people who came near and delighting the crowd by producing a dubstep track that sounds electronic, but it actually purely organic. Dave Crowe isn’t the only one doing dubstep beatboxing; check out this cute video Beatboxing Bird: Cockatiel Sings Dubstep for a surprising beatboxing performance.

Take a look at Dave Crowe’s website. If you can’t get enough of Dave Crowe, check out this awesome performance of the original song, “Bethany Darling” by Crowe and his best friend Andy Balcon.
