“The Sneetches” is a children’s story book that was written and published by world renowned author Dr Seuss. Like all of Seuss’s stories, The Sneetches begins as a nonsense poem but ends with a poignant moral. This animated version of the tale tells the story of the Sneetches on the beaches with stars on thars, and their neighbors, the Sneetches without.
The film is about racial discrimination amongst people who are not so different after all. It’s the kind of story that children should be cheerfully brainwashed with from a young age, either in book form or in animated form, before they can find themselves on the wrong side of social issues like these.
